Beacon of Hope for People with Disability
Atma Nirbhar - Ek Challenge is an economic rehabilitation and empowerment project for People with Disabilities. Established in Guwahati, Assam, in 1996 by Late Kaushik Das, we provide employment in our tea and grocery packaging unit. Apart from a monthly stipend, our beneficiaries are provided with a simple, nutritious mid day meal and are enrolled in social security schemes such as PF and ESI.
Currently, we have around 40 beneficiaries who have found meaning and dignity in their lives through engagement with Atma Nirbhar - Ek Challenge.
Our efforts have been recognized with a plethora of awards, both national and state level coming our way.
